During my recent trip to Japan, I was lucky to see the first plum blossoms (ume) of the season during my tour of Osaka Castle.

Time capsule buried at Osaka Castle in 1970 and scheduled for unearthing in 6970. Now, that's optimism!
The remaining photos were taken at the castle's plum orchard. Since, these were the first blooms of the season, many people came for viewing.
