Recently, Vietnam had its annual election day on May 22. Not many people turn up to vote in Vietnam (not surprising in a one-party system with limited choice), but supposedly, there was a record number of voters this year. Of course, this fact was reported by the strictly-government-run newspapers, so who knows if it is actually true? In any case, Vietnam did its best to encourage votership via a nationwide poster campaign. The posters are styled after traditional Vietnamese communist propaganda posters which, I think, are really cool looking.
| Finally, here is one of the many voting stations on May 22. It's decorated in colorful flags and blasts festive music in an attempt to lure in voters. |
